Brianne is a queer filmmaker awarded across multiple continents in multiple formats including short films, digital series, commercials, and music videos.

Over the last decade she has continued to refine her voice as a comedy creator and director who does not shy away from tough subjects but embraces them. She excels in building tension of character and of circumstance, then offers reprieve through comedy. She’s known for her authentic style of storytelling which is both accessible and smart. And often a bit awkward. Mostly in a good way.

Brianne first gained international recognition with her multi-award-winning short film, TROLLS (2009), which received an honourable mention at the Academy Accredited™ Clermont Ferrand Film Festival. She is an awardee of the Legacy Filmworks Award, the Shaw Media Fearless Female Director Award, and the WIFTV Newcommer Spotlight Award. Her most recent work includes the short SHIT SPONGE which took home Best Film, Best Direction and Best Performance at the 2021 Vancouver Run ‘N Gun Filmmaking Competition, THE SANDBOX which won the Audience Choice Award at the 2022 Vancouver Run ‘N Gun Filmmaking Competition, and the digital series THE DANGERS OF ONLINE DATING. In 2022 she directed her fourth music video with Eurovision’s RYKKA, and an arthouse music film for composer and artist Emily Millard.

Brianne recently directed her first TV movie TWO CHEFS AND A WEDDING CAKE with Reel One Entertainment set to release spring 2023.

She is currently in development on multiple features and is repped by Meridian Artists.
