The 1 Reel Film Festival is Bumbershoot’s celebration of cinematic brevity- continuously screening over 100 of the world’s best short films over three days. Founded in 1995, the 1 Reel Film Festival is now a Bumbershoot tradition, and is one of the nation’s best attended short format festivals in the US, drawing nearly 10,000 filmgoers, filmmakers, and industry each year. All short films will screen at SIFF Cinema in 45-90 minute packages.
Since 1971, Bumbershoot has drawn artists representing the best in music, film, comedy, spoken word, dance, theatre, performance, and visual arts to Seattle Center over Labor Day weekend. North America’s largest urban arts festival, Bumbershoot takes place in the heart of the city at the 74-acre Seattle Center.
