Intimacy Coordination with Disabled Performers
“I think anyone who’s ever been a part of an intimate scene can attest to the sometimes awkward nature of being vulnerable in front of the camera. Brianne did a fantastic job of making sure both myself and my scene partner felt respected, confident, and fully supported. She clearly communicated her knowledge of the director’s vision and story goals, while making sure everything we did aligned with our personal boundaries and comfort levels.”

What is an “intimacy coordinator”?
An intimacy coordinator is a choreographer, an advocate for actors, and a link between actors and production for scenes that involve nudity / hyper-exposed work, simulated sex acts, and/or intimate physical contact. Making sure we capture the flavour of the scene within the boundaries of the artists.
Professionalism Assurance
An intimacy coordinator (IC) ensures a professional and respectful atmosphere on set during intimate scenes, keeping things rolling.
Closed Set
Intimacy Coordinators support with CLOSED SET Protocols as stipulated by SAG/AFTRA and UBCP-ACTRA
Consent Facilitation
Navigating sensitive content, an IC facilitates open communication, obtaining clear consent from actors and establishing transparent boundaries for intimate scenes.
Training and Education
These programs equip production with the skills to navigate scenes professionally and develop clear communication and protocol pathways to streamline productivity.
Modesty Wear & Barriers
Intimacy Coordinators support with modesty wear and ensure performers have all the required elements and support for application and coverage throughout the shoot.
Time Management
Expertise in choreography and blocking, an IC reduces the risk of physical and emotional discomfort for actors, minimizing potential liabilities for the production.
Crisis Management
Intimacy Coordinators handle unexpected challenges or concerns that may arise, an IC acts as a crisis manager, ensuring swift and appropriate resolutions while maintaining a professional atmosphere

“It was a pleasure working with Brianne. She created a safe, sensitive and creative environment for myself and the other actors. I felt immediately comfortable with her; she took our privacy very seriously and always acted as a great advocate for us on set. She also created a fun and open atmosphere where we could be playful and tell the story as best we could. Not to mention she finished each intimate scene by handing out sweets and chocolate — always went down very well! I hope to have the chance to work together again.” – Jonah Hauer-King, Actor
